  • The Security Analyst is to provide systems support for clients and security platforms.
  • The Security Analyst will liaise with  senior systems engineers and solution architects.
  • The Security Analyst will perform daily activities that include providing “eyes on screen” monitoring of the IBM QRadar SIEM console.
  • The Security Analyst will respond to alerts generated and perform actions in accordance with established procedures including notification to internal team, notification to customer team, customer outsourcers and customer service desk (if applicable)
  • The Security Analyst will work to defined SLA escalation levels.
  • Monitor the performance of client network, system and applications to identify and bring to attention breaches and potential intrusion incidents
  • Investigate security breaches within a defined area of responsibility to maintain the compliance with client SLA’s.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on current and future security threats and vulnerabilities

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related studies. An additional 3 years of direct work experience in security monitoring or incident response can be substituted for degree
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in  network or system administration
  • Knowledge of networking technologies and protocols, including Ethernet, TCP and IP routing
  • Hands on experience with a variety of different operating systems for servers and workstations, to include Windows, Linux/Unix
  • Demonstrates problem solving and critical thinking capabilities in complex environments.
  • Possesses ability to document and explain technical details clearly and concisely.
  • Comfortable communicating with next level support, senior management and clients
  • Able to work shift work and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

• CCNA / CCIE / MCSA certified• Experience with security technologies including with IDS/IPS/SIEM integration methodologies and best/common practices, firewalls & log analysis, network behavior analysis tools, data loss prevention, antivirus, network packet analyzers, and malware and forensic analysis tools.• A minimum of 3 years related Cyber Security monitoring experience
