This position takes on the responsibility for assisting in all areas of administration and coordination of tasks relating to insurance brokering. 

The responsibilities include:            

  • Assist account managers with all office and operational duties
  • Claims co-ordination
  • Obtain New Business and Renewal terms and quotes from underwriters
  • Data entry for renewals and new business insurance
  • Electronic  filing and mail co-ordination
  • Preparation of letters to clients and new business quotes
  • Assist with phone inquiries
  • Assist senior account managers with daily matters
  • Entering of data for renewals and new business
  • Client invoicing and Sunrise downloading
  • Co-ordinate renewals
  • Typing of contracts, proposals, invoices, and general correspondence
  • Taking of phone enquires
  • Assist in maintaining key account relationships with clients and insurers
  • Monthly reporting as required
  • Maintenance of Company database
  • Abide by agreed standard work procedures
  • Act honestly and in accordance with our mission statement

The position requires accurate reporting and processing with willingness to learn from Professional Insurance Brokers and will be encouraged to gain qualifications in Financial Services General Insurance Broking. This role will co-ordinate closely with Senior Account Managers.

  • HSC minimum or equivalent, University Degree preferable
  • Tier 1 General Insurance Broker ( RG146 compliant)
  • Previous work experience  of at least 2  years in insurance broking
  • Administrative skills to be reasonable for level of experience
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and insurance company personnel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Accurate and timely approach in order to gain an in-depth understanding of Company processes and procedures
