What you will do?

  • Ensure day to day transactional HR is managed effectively across all entities in Australia and New Zealand
  • Ensure all internal and external compliance HR reporting is completed on time (WGEA, Labour Hire Licencing)
  • Work in partnership with Manager on Performance Management in Australia and New Zealand
  • Manage the on-boarding and off-boarding of internal employees, which will include engaging with local administrators based in regional locations
  • Support Managers with internal recruitment as required which may include ad-writing, pre-screening, reference checking (interviewing to be conducted locally)
  • Support the Manager People & Culture with continuous improvement projects as required
  • Assist / lead activities such as engagement surveys, policy reviews, salary benchmarking, PD reviews, succession planning, review and promotion
  • Provide prompt, accurate and timely advice to all internal queries
  • Support internal People and Culture projects in line with the People and Culture Strategic plan

  • At least 5 years work experience in a Human Resources position
  • Demonstrates broad level of understanding in all areas of Human Resources
  • Demonstrates an ability to drive the development, implementation and improvement of HR systems, processes and tools at a high level
  • Possesses a high level of Human Resources knowledge and demonstrates an ability to provide advice, guidance and expertise to the business
  • Demonstrates a high level of technical understanding and knowledge of HR / IR legislation, procedures and process
  • Demonstrates a high level understanding of the development and implementation of training systems and materials
  • Ability to converse with internal employees at all levels
  • Excellent written and oral English
  • Excellent Attention to detail, ability to complete tasks even when repetitive,
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written), can identify issues and communicate them, organized, positive attitude, acknowledges mistakes and learns from them,
  • Ability to seek guidance and advice when required
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and Word expertise, ability to learn other applications.
