MicroSourcing is currently looking for a L2 Client Service Desk for our new account in Eastwood.

This ensures that all business resources are consistently functioning in an optimal manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responding to resolving technical issues from being the initial point of contact, diagnosing and resolving up to 2nd level of support.
  • Engaging with the customer via phone, email and chat remote support
  • Troubleshoot system problems such as end user desktop, application, mail delivery, routing, server, network and firewall issues within a small to medium scale business environment
  • Handle escalated tickets from the 1st level of support
  • Actively participate in a rotating on-call roster
  • Coach and mentor junior team members
  • Responding to and resolving issues raised by our monitoring system.
  • Create process improvement and automation to existing processes.

  • Minimum of 5+ years with very strong Experience in the following areas:
    • Windows Servers 2008, 2012 and 2016 (Including advanced roles and functionalities like ADFS, NPS, DFSR, Clustering, advance GPO concepts, deep understanding and fixing of AD and DFSR Replication issues  etc.)
    • Cloud Services: Azure, AWS, Office 365, Gsuite etc.
    • Virtualization: VMware Vsphere (vCenter and clustering experience), Hyper-V, Citrix XenApp/Desktop
    • Client Operating Systems: Windows 7, 8, 10, MacOS.
    • Application Support: Office Apps, VPN software. Other business applications support experience like Quickbooks, Zix would be a plus.
  • Minimum of 4+ years with intermediate Tier 2/3 Level experience in the following areas:
    • Networking: Cisco Routing and Switching
    • Firewalls: Palo Alto, Fortinet
    • Storage Systems: NAS, SAN including Dell Storage Solutions such as Equallogic and Compellent
    • Security: Mail Filtering Systems, Webroot Endpoint
    • Backup: Datto, Shadowprotect, Cloud Backups like Azure Vault, AWS, Intronis etc.
    • Professional/Expert level Certifications are a plus: VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSE, Cisco CCNP, etc.
