MicroSourcing is looking for a Senior Accountant for our Eastwood, Quezon City who will be assigned on a fixed day shift schedule!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly financial reports covering balance sheet, profit and loss, internal management reports and cash flow statements
  • Managing the general ledger including reconciliation of the monthly balance sheet items, banking and inter-company transactions
  • Completion of the monthly accruals, journals, fixed assets and depreciation schedules
  • Weekly cash flow reporting
  • Accurate processing and calculation of commissions  
  • Reconciliation and preparation of BAS returns 
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly & year-end reporting, audit and compliance  
  • Assist with the annual budgeting and forecast process
  • Assist and contribute to the mentoring and training of the finance team in best practice accounting methods 
  • Assist to develop and drive process improvement strategies within finance and across the business 
  • Build strong relationship with all managers to ensure they have all relevant financial information to run their departments effectively.
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
  • Ensuring Accounting standards and policies are adhered to
  • Ad hoc duties as required by the Financial Manager

  • Bachelorís Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Member of CPA or relevant Accounting Body
  • At least 5 year works experience in a financial / management accounting position
  • Previous experience in Labour Hire/payroll environment is an advantage
  • Demonstrates high level of understanding in all areas of the finance and accounting function
  • Ability to conduct financial analysis to identify trends and anomalies
  • Ability to use financial/General Ledger software: Business Central/Sage/MS Dynamix
  • Previous experience with Australian Business Activity Statements (BAS) i.e. GST, PAYG installments WHT etc.
  • Ability to converse with internal employees at all levels
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
  • Ability to seek guidance and advice when required
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and Word expertise, ability to learn other applications
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks & meet deadlines
  • Takes ownership of and personal accountability for decisions and actions
