MicroSourcing is looking for a Technical Project Manager! Our client is a Managed Service Provider taking the IT in high-performing businesses from good to great. They provide secure, robust IT platforms from which clients can grow their businesses effectively, efficiently and safely.


About the role:

Reporting to the Service Delivery Director, you will drive and manage the projects at a technical level in our fast-paced environment. You will work alongside a variety of engineers and support personnel and be responsible for the delivery of your projects to technical requirements, schedule requirements and financial requirements. You will bring with you a can-do attitude and help improve the control of projects within our growing team.


Key Deliverables

  • Manage the implementation and onboarding of key components to deliver managed services to our customers
  • Design and manage a project plan, ensuring agreed timescales and budget are achieved within acceptable thresholds
  • Work closely with IT specialists to ensure their requirements are met.
  • Liaise with software vendors to ensure licenses are procured in the most costeffective manner Technical Project Manager V1.2
  • Liaise with third parties, customer contacts and other internal project managers to ensure effective progress is maintained on the overall larger programme of work 


  • At least 5 7 years of experience in a similar role
  • Dealing directly with customers on technical and programmatic matters
  • Hands-on experience in the implementation of IT transformation projects
  • Managing IT transformation projects for SMEs / MSPs
  • Managing complex technical IT infrastructure projects
  • Experience with virtualisation / networking / infrastructure technologies
  • Specialist experience of managing server / network IT engineers (not software / development)
  • Software license management and procurement
  • Able to 'get stuff done'

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to respond quickly to changes
  • Flexible to adapt to working styles - able to adjust to fit current challenges

  • Very well organised
  • Know how to negotiate a compromise which is acceptable to multiple parties
  • Recognise when a compromise is necessary for the good of the project, and when a fixed position needs to be maintained.
  • Clear understanding of current technologies and are able to demonstrate this in the design and implementation of customer solutions
